I have now been able to uncover the full story of 4xGreat Grandfather buying a wife on the Formby Market. See ‘Formby’ for the full story and the unusual connection between my Mother & Father.

The Lamb Genealogy Report has been updated. More updates will be added shortly.

Family Trees has now been replaced by Family Groups. This now contains all the descendant trees of each individual family name, from our 3 main trees.

Harrison Family Tree has now been renamed Family Trees and includes the 3 main families which make up our Family Tree - Harrison/Guthrie, Evans/Griffiths and Williams/Tomlinson.

The following Family Trees have now been updated:- Clayton, Callaghan, Guthrie, Ithell, Mercer & Wright. Freeman tree has been removed as they are not direct descendants.

I have added 5 new Genealogy Reports for the following families:- Evans, Mills, Williams, Ithell & Clutton.

Now that we have nearly 7000 people in this tree, I have put an updated Kinship Report onto the site. Only people with a birth date before 1910 have been included.

A Family tree for the Ithell Family has now been added.

As you can see I’ve upgraded my family history website. What’s new :- We now have Genealogy Reports, these have replaced Census records, these reports contain all the information on the families i.e. Births, Marriages, Deaths, Addresses & Occupations in a Pedigree order. Kinship Report contains every person in my tree that is a direct ancestor of my Grandchild Jamie Lyn, giving the relationship, whether close or distant i.e. 2x Grandfather, 3x Grand Uncle or 4x Cousin 2x Removed etc. Maps have now improved using Google Earth, so you can zoom straight down onto the address and use Satellite View for an overhead picture of the Street/Road. Some names have now been removed, as they were not correct and some new names have appeared. Although my old website hadn’t been updated for nearly a year, I have still been doing research and this new site now has some of that research included, but there is still a lot more to add, keep checking the ‘What’s New for updates.

Another Wharton added to Census, James Wharton son of Robert Wharton b1802 1871/81/91 (Can’t find 1901).

Death parish record for Thomas Woodhouse GF 1884.

Updated Direct Descendants added for Clayton, Guthrie, Killen, McDonald & Martin Families also Updated Guthrie & Clayton Family Trees. Because the wrong Guthrie family was researched in Scotland the Mcleod & Armstrong familes have been removed.

Now found the maiden name of Isabella Clayton (b1819), it is Wharton, which could be from the Wharton’s on the Harrison tree, awaiting certificate too prove. Census added for Isabella Clayton 1881, Her daughter Ann & husband Thomas Hunter 1881, Ann in 1891, Thomas Hunter 1861 & 1871, Isabella’s son Joseph & wife Mary Haygarth 1891 & 1901. Birth certificate added for Isabella’s son Joseph. Birth certificate added for James Guthrie b1915.

Marriage certificate removed for Timothy & Lizzie as Lizzie is not the correct wife. Census Added for Elizabeth McDerby nee Campbell wife of James McDerby 1881. Census added for Birchall & Moran families part of the McDerby family, William Birchall 1841 & 1851, Edward Birchall 1851, 1861 & 1871, Ellen Welsh wife of Edward Birchall 1851, Daniel Moran 1841, Patrick Moran 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 & 1891 & Edward Birchall son of Edward, Father of Catherine McDerby wife of James 1901.

I’m back, I have been without the internet for the past 6 weeks due to moving from one provider to another. We had a visit to Dumfries a couple of weeks ago, to find out more about Robert Paterson, see the story and pictures under Scotland.

I have been sent a lot of new information on the following Families Killen, Fletcher, Krebs, Goodfellow & Jeacock.This was sent to me by Freda and I would like to thank her very much, she has spent many years researching the above families. It is going to take me some time to download all this info, but I have made a start. There is a new Family tree for the Fletchers as I had the wrong family also there is a family tree for the Krebs. Changes to Buttons on the left hand side, Family Tree has now been renamed Harrison Family Tree and still shows the complete Harrison Family Tree, Names has renamed Direct Descendants and still shows individual family trees with direct descendants only and a new button called Family Trees now shows a complete (all known siblings) Family tree for individual families.

William & Margaret Strachan are not the parents of Jessie Strachan the wife of John Callaghan. The marriage certificate shows that her father’s name was Robert Strachan and the only Jessie Strachan with a father named Robert was married to Elizabeth Paterson on the 1841 Scotland Census. I am not 100% sure yet that this new Jessy is the correct ancestor as I can’t find her on the 1851 census for Scotland or England. I have found the new Robert & Elizabeth Strachan on World Trees on Ancestry.co.uk so I have been able to go back to the end of the 1600’s. I have removed the following names Knight, Duthie, Chism & Galloway and replaced them with Paterson, Loch/Locke (not sure of the correct spelling), Gray & Scott. The main Family Tree has now been updated as well as the descendants trees (Names).
